Welcome to Ajato

Ajato is a free CMS inspired on Drupal. But instead PHP, Ajato uses Lua.

If you didn't understand what i just said, let's try again: "With Ajato, you can have simple website, blog, wiki, project manager, e-Commerce store, social network or all of them together!"

It helps people to manage a whole site, controlling the users and the content creation. With the free modules and themes, you can transform Ajato into virtually all types of sites, from wikis, blogs, forums or e-commerce store. Or everything of it at once! You wont need a separate system to each of these features.

Development resumed

Guys,

Ajato was hibernating. For almost a year. But now, im working hard on the next release! In fact, Im working in a generic PHP to Lua converter that will do the massive hard work. So you might expect:

  1. Drupal 6.2: the original Ajato code was based on a devel branch of Drupal. Many fixes later, Drupal reaches 6.2 and Ajato now can be build with a safe code
  2. New branch: since the code will be re-ported to Lua, i will start a complete new branch to publish the changes.
  3. Full featured: i will port almost everything from Drupal 6.2 at once, so it will be much more complete

The deadline? I havent yet decided, but its going to be soon. April or May 2008.

Ajato on IRC

Ajato now has a channel on FreeNode IRC: #ajato. I, Massa, will be there almost all time to answer all kinds of questions.

Ajato site launched!

Ajato has now its own site!

Well... while Ajato doesn't reach a somewhat stable and featured version to self host, it will use its older bother, Drupal CMS. Since We aim to keep the compatibility between the two systems, we hope not throw away all the content here.

We will split the site in two big zones: User and Developer. User will be destinated to tutorials about install and configuration, generic forums and news. While Developers Zone will be filled with tutorials about how to create your own module for Ajato and explain how Ajato works internally.
